The Restoration of a 1963 Black/Red Corvette Z06 Coupe

This blog is about a 1963 Split Window Corvette, Z06, that I restored at Tony's Corvette Shop in MD from Dec 2017 to Jun 2019. We restored the car to its original condition on the day it was born in June 1963. We know of only 5 Z06 cars with the Black/Red combination. The aim of this blog is to document the progress of restoration and to educate about 1963 Z06's. Attended Barrett Jackson Auction in Scottsdale

This week Tony, Dale (Tony's painter) and I visited the Barrett Jackson Auction in Scottsdale. An amazing event. Quite an event to network and among many collectors, I met Bob Russo of Billybobscars.com located in Jackson, NJ. He had heard about my Z06 and already knew it was a black/red car. I mentioned that I'm researching the owner history and that all the owners seem to have been in Norther NJ. He kindly offered to help. Looking forward to talking to him more.
