The Restoration of a 1963 Black/Red Corvette Z06 Coupe

This blog is about a 1963 Split Window Corvette, Z06, that I restored at Tony's Corvette Shop in MD from Dec 2017 to Jun 2019. We restored the car to its original condition on the day it was born in June 1963. We know of only 5 Z06 cars with the Black/Red combination. The aim of this blog is to document the progress of restoration and to educate about 1963 Z06's. March 2019...prepping parts and the frame

Its March 2019 and we're working to finish the car by June to take it to the Bloomington Gold Show in Indianapolis and then the NCRS Nationals in Greenville, SC in July. We're coming down the home stretch, but still a lot of work to do. This week I'm working on getting the frame primed and painted and lots of parts, including brake drums, starter, springs and more.
